Before making a contribution to a student scholarship organization, the taxpayer shall notify the GA State Department of Revenue, via the TP1 form, of the total amount of contribution he/she intends to make to the student scholarship organization. The commissioner shall pre-approve or deny the requested amount after receiving the request from the taxpayer.

You are contributing on-line because:

  • You have sent your TP1 form directly to the State DOR
  • You have received an approval letter back from the DOR
  • It is within 60 days of the approval date found on the approval letter

Make sure to mail a copy to GRACE Scholars of the approval letter after you make your on-line Contribution. GRACE Scholars will need this letter in order to send you a tax credit confirmation for your contribution.
