Contribution Process
Start by downloading two forms:
- GRACE Contribution Form (PDF) a/k/a Designation Form
- GRACE Contribution Form (Word) a/k/a Designation Form
- TP1 with GRACE info 2012
STEP 1: GET PRE-APPROVED.
Individuals complete, sign, and submit form TP1 to state Department of Revenue. The taxpayer ID for GRACE Scholars is 26-3237980. List GRACE as the SSO and enter the intended amount. Mail the form to:

The state will respond within 30 days with an approval letter.
STEP 2: COMPLETE GIFT. Upon receipt of approval letter, you will have 60 days from date of approval letter to complete your gift but no later than December 31. Send state’s pre-approval letter, GRACE designation form and check payable to “GRACE Scholars, Inc.” The address is:

Donors may also pay ONLINE . Schools can be designated when paying on-line. Copy of the approval letter from the Department of Revenue must be sent by e-mail, fax or mail to GRACE Scholars regardless of payment method.
WE RESPOND. GRACE Scholars will acknowledge your check with a thank you letter and state forms SSO1 and TP2 that you will need for preparing your state income tax return.
Claim GRACE donation as a charitable deduction on Federal Return. Claim 100% tax credit on Georgia Return: Increase Georgia Adjusted Gross Income by adding back GRACE donation on GA Form 500 Schedule 1 line 4. On GA Form 500 Schedule 2 line 4 list GRACE Donation as the Qualified Education Expense Credit.
